Lahore, May 13, 2023 (PPI-OT): A meeting was held to review the law and order situation at the head office of Punjab Safe Cities Authority under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi. In the meeting, it was decided to form a joint investigation team to investigate the tragic incidents of rioting and arson in Jinnah House, military and civil installations.
The JIT will investigate the incidents and submit a comprehensive report to the government. Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi ordered to speed up operations to bring all miscreants under the law and said that geo-fencing will be done at all vandalized places. All cases against miscreants will be tried in the Anti-Terrorism Court. Mohsin Naqvi directed the Public Prosecution Department to ensure speedy trial of all cases and said that no guilty person will be spared and no innocent will be spared.
Jinnah House, Askari, those elements who attack civil and private property will not escape from severe punishment. A zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against miscreants. He said that, God willing, educational institutions will be opened on May 15.
The situation is improving, they will ensure the safety of people’s lives and property. Continue excellent coordination for the entire force is on alert to foil the nefarious intentions of the miscreants. Inspector General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar gave a briefing about the law and order situation in the province and actions against miscreants.
