Islamabad, October 09, 2023 (PPI-OT): Death toll of martyred Palestinians has risen to four hundred twenty-four, including seventy-eight children, as the Israeli airstrikes continued on several areas in occupied Palestine. Numerous government and residential buildings have been damaged in the besieged Gaza Strip in Israeli strikes. In Gaza city, Israeli air planes hit an 11-storey building in the Al-Nasr neighbourhood which is home to approximately 80 families.
In retaliation, dozens of rockets were launched from Gaza into the southern Israeli town of Ashkelon. Israeli media said at least 700 Israeli people including large number of military personels have been killed and 2100 injured in Hamas attacks since Saturday. The United Nations said at least 70,000 Palestinians in Gaza are seeking shelter in schools it runs. It appealed for the creation of humanitarian corridors to bring food into Gaza.
