Islamabad, 15 Oct 2023: Pakistan has issued an ultimatum to foreign nationals living unlawfully within its borders: they have 16 days to leave the country voluntarily and return to their native lands. The MOIB has relayed that no punitive measures will be taken against these individuals, including Afghans, if they choose to depart of their own accord before the 1st of the upcoming month.
The move underscores the country’s efforts to regulate and manage its foreign population, ensuring that residency rules are strictly adhered to while also providing a window of opportunity for these nationals to rectify their status.
