Islamabad, Today marks the deadline for submitting applications for postal ballot papers for the upcoming general elections for both national and provincial assemblies. The Election Commission has been providing this option to eligible voters, facilitating their participation in the democratic process.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, eligible voters have been able to download the postal ballot application from the electoral authority’s website. Once voters receive their postal ballots, they are required to send their votes to the relevant District Returning Officer within a specified timeframe.
It is important to note that individuals who opt for postal ballots will not be able to cast their votes in person at polling stations. This process is part of the Election Commission’s efforts to ensure wider voter participation and accommodate those unable to visit polling stations on election day.
The move for postal ballots is seen as a significant step towards enhancing electoral inclusivity and ensuring a fair democratic process.
