Islamabad, February 05, 2023 (PPI-OT):Islamabad Capital Police Tarnol police team arrested three wanted members of a criminal gang involved in a series of criminal activities and recovered mobile phones and pistols with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, a Tarnol Police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending three wanted members of a criminal gang involved in a series of criminal activities in Tarnol police station jurisdiction. The accused were identified as Khaista Rehman, Naeem Khan and Farman Ali.
The police team also recovered snatched mobile phones and weapons with ammunition from their possession. During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed their involvement in multiple criminal activities. The accused were sent to jail on judicial remand for identification parade. Senior police officers appreciated the performance of the police team and added that it is the prime responsibility of police to provide relief to the citizens and every possible effort would be made to ensure it.
