Cuttack, December 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):A 10-year-old minor girl from the Dalit community was raped in Uchupada village in Cuttack district of Odisha, India. According to Kashmir Media Service, while the parents of the victim girl were not at home, one Basant Swain, alias Babu, of the same village asked for water. When the victim went to fetch water, Babu entered the house and raped the girl.
On knowing about daughter’s ordeal, the victim’s parents took her to the hospital for treatment. They also lodged a complaint at the Tangi police station against the rapist. Babu had left the place after raping the victim, profusely bleeding.
