The attack occurred in Binauli, a small town in the Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, highlighting the ongoing struggles against caste-based violence and sexual harassment in the region.

Singh from Binauli police station confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused individuals. The charges include sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), and 307 (Attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), along with provisions of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
