Amritsar, Dal Khalsa, a Sikh political organization, has extended its congratulations to Shehbaz Sharif on his election as the Prime Minister of Pakistan, offering a message of goodwill and expressing optimism for the future under his leadership.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the organization expressed hope that Sharif’s tenure would positively impact Pakistan’s ongoing crisis and the broader geopolitical dynamics of South Asia. In a statement issued from Amritsar, Punjab, Kanwar Pal Singh, Dal Khalsa’s secretary for political affairs, conveyed the group’s best wishes and acknowledged the challenges that lie ahead for Pakistan and its new leader. “We, the Sikhs of Punjab, extend our heartfelt congratulations and prayers for your success,” Singh stated, highlighting the community’s expectations for greater involvement in Pakistan’s social, religious, and political life under Sharif’s governance.



The message underscored the shared heritage and historical ties between Sikhs and Muslims, with Singh noting, “The children of Guru Nanak, the Sikhs, in the neighborhood, expect the Sharif family’s attention and intervention in their pursuit to safeguard and uphold their exclusive identity, political aspirations, and sovereign status.”
