Customs and Rangers Uncover Smuggled Goods in Karachi Raid

Karachi: Customs Enforcement Karachi, in collaboration with Sindh Rangers, conducted a joint operation at Jodia Bazar, resulting in the seizure of a significant cache of smuggled goods. This operation marks a notable effort in the ongoing campaign against smuggling in the region.

The raid led to the confiscation of items including 2,320 packets of imported cigarettes, 9,620 kilograms of betel nuts, 140 packets of foreign-origin Niswar, and 3,485 kilograms of foreign-origin cutch block. These items were taken into custody and will undergo further legal processes.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to tackle smuggling activities, with the aim of protecting the national economy. The FBR has expressed its commitment to continue such operations to deter illegal trade practices.

The successful execution of this operation highlights the cooperation between Customs Enforcement and the Sindh Rangers, underscoring the importance of joint efforts in addressing smuggling challenges.
