Cultural Exchange Celebrated at ‘2024 Korea Week’ in Islamabad

Islamabad: The “2024 Korea Week,” hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Pakistan and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, is currently underway in Islamabad, aiming to bolster cultural ties and cooperation between Pakistan and South Korea. This week-long celebration, running through October 29, includes diverse events and exhibitions, drawing attendees from across the capital.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, a Korea-Pakistan Cultural Gala at Liaquat Gymnasium attracted a large audience, including Pakistani families, Korean nationals, diplomats, embassy staff, and students from Islamabad’s universities. Attendees enjoyed dynamic Taekwondo demonstrations by Korean and Pakistani teams, as well as musical performances from notable Pakistani artists and groups.

In his address, Korean Ambassador Park Ki Jun emphasized the commitment to deepening cultural, artistic, and literary ties between Pakistan and South Korea. He commended the Pakistani government and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for their support in organizing the event, underlining the significance of such cultural exchanges in strengthening bilateral relations.
