Islamabad: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Kainat Azhar Khan, has ordered a heightened crackdown on illegal bus stands, encroachments, and traffic violations following a comprehensive review of the traffic situation in Faizabad. The initiative aims to ensure smoother traffic flow and enhance commuter convenience in the federal capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, CTO Khan conducted a site visit to Faizabad, meeting with traffic police officials and assessing traffic flow and operational arrangements. During the visit, she identified key factors contributing to congestion, such as illegal bus stands and encroachments, and instructed officials to take indiscriminate and effective action against these violations.

CTO Khan emphasized the importance of enforcing traffic laws without discrimination and directed officials to maintain continuous monitoring of congestion-prone areas. She also highlighted the need to remove obstacles promptly and prioritize public convenience while managing traffic effectively. Khan personally oversaw ongoing enforcement operations and provided on-the-spot directions to improve measures against traffic violators and obstructions.

In her statement, CTO Khan reiterated the Islamabad Traffic Police’s commitment to ensuring safe, organized, and uninterrupted travel for citizens. She assured that efforts to combat traffic violations, illegal parking, and encroachments will be intensified to enhance the overall traffic system in Islamabad.
