Jammu, January 16, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, after snatching the livelihood of a large number of local youths through their deceitful policies, the authorities have betrayed thousands of youths of border areas who have applied for the post of constables in Border Battalions.

The recruitment process for two border battalions was started in the year 2019 and a large number of boys and girls of border areas had applied for the post of constables. The recruitment process was suspended in March 2020 after the outbreak of the first wave COVID-19 pandemic. It was informed that 2000 youth will be recruited for Border Battalions.

Physical tests were restarted in December 2020 in Jammu province and the same process was started in Kashmir Valley in July 2021. Ironically, making a mockery of the whole recruitment process, Jammu and Kashmir administration issued a fresh recruitment notification on January 11, 2022.

Amid freezing temperature candidates, who have applied in response to the earlier recruitment notice, held a demonstration in Jammu against issuing fresh notice for recruitment. Candidates demanded that the process of earlier recruitment notice should be completed before issuing fresh notice. They termed this action as injustice and discriminatory.
