CRPF Ramps Up Anti-Naxal Operations in Chhattisgarh with 4,000 Troops

New Delhi: In a significant escalation of its counter-insurgency efforts, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has deployed an additional four battalions, totaling over 4,000 personnel, to the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh to combat Naxalite forces.

According to Kashmir Media Service, these forces are stationed in the strategically sensitive areas of Dantewada and Sukma districts. The deployment includes setting up new forward operating bases that are essential for securing the region and aiding ongoing development projects.

Over the past three years, the CRPF has established 40 bases in Chhattisgarh, bolstering their operational capabilities with armoured vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), dog squads, and advanced communication sets, all aimed at intensifying their efforts to provide safety and stability in an area long affected by Naxalite violence.
