CRPF Constable Dies by Suicide in Ajmer


Jaipur: A constable from the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), identified as Amarjit Singh, has died by suicide in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The incident occurred in his quarters where he was found hanging from a ceiling fan.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the tragedy was discovered in the constable’s living quarters located in the CRPF GC-2 on Foy Sagar Road. Upon notification, CRPF officers alongside local police from Ganj police station responded to the scene. The police have since conducted a post-mortem examination and released the body to Singh’s family members. Singh, who was originally from Manipur, had been serving at this post.



The local police, led by Mahavir Singh of Ganj police station, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, though the immediate cause prompting Singh’s actions remains unclear. This incident has caused considerable concern among personnel at the CRPF Group Centre 1 and 2 in Ajmer.
