Naseerabad, As part of ongoing efforts to ensure fair distribution of agricultural water, authorities in Naseerabad have intensified actions against illegal water courses connected to the Pit Feeder Canal. This initiative, conducted under the supervision of Superintending Engineer Irrigation Nasirabad Zone Abdul Hameed Mengal and Executive Engineer Zafar Ali, aligns with recent directives from the Balochistan High Court.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, dozens of unauthorized pipelines and watercourses in the non-command areas of the canal have been dismantled. The operation is part of a broader commitment to protect the water rights of legitimate tail-end users, ensuring they receive adequate water supplies for agriculture. The actions taken include the use of heavy machinery to remove illegal installations along the Pit Feeder Canal and its tributaries.
Engineer Mengal emphasized the importance of these measures in maintaining the integrity of water distribution systems and warned that any interference with the operations would be met with legal action. The ongoing crackdown reflects a steadfast approach to managing water resources fairly and efficiently, highlighting the government’s dedication to upholding the rights of all agricultural stakeholders in the region.
