Lahore, July 15, 2023 (PPI-OT): On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the crackdown against the fugitive advertisers abroad is going on rapidly and in this connection, the wanted advertiser in the case of murder has been arrested from Oman. Spokesperson of Punjab Police said that Muhammad Asif was wanted in the murder case for a year, a red notice was issued for the arrest of the accused with the help of Interpol and after the arrest of the accused Asif, he was sent to the Sialkot Police for further action. was handed over. The spokesperson of Punjab Police further said that the total number of arrested advertisers from abroad has increased to 97 with the arrest of the advertiser Asif.
While congratulating the police team that arrested the dangerous advertiser, IG Punjab directed that the crackdown should be accelerated to arrest the accused involved in murder, robbery and other serious crimes, with the help of Interpol and FIA. They should be brought under the grip of the law and severely punished. Dr. Usman Anwar directed that passports of absconding advertisers abroad should be cancelled and RPOs, DPOs should regularly send arrest reports of absconding advertisers abroad to the Central Police Office.
