Patna, July 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):The activists of Communist Party of India-Marxist Leninist (CPI-ML) and two other political groups have dismissed the police allegations against Muslim men arrested by police in a fake case in the Indian state of Bihar. The CPI-ML members and two other political groups have issued a report dismissing police allegations against Muslim men arrested in Phulwari Sharif are of Patna in connection with the anti-India activities.
The team included CPI-ML MLAs Mahboob Alam and Sandeep Saurav visited families of four victims and collected crucial details about their past. They found that they were, in no way, associated with any anti-India or terrorist activity. There is no single strong evidence against these Muslims arrested on charges of being involved in anti-India activities, the report said.
The team, which visited the affected families, comprised the members of Insaf Manch and All India Peoples’ Forum apart from CPI-ML. They slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his silence on the issue and said the arrests are part of the Hindutva BJP’s plan to win the 2024 parliamentary elections. The entire Muslim community is being targeted by portraying Phulwari Sharif as a hub of terror and anti-India activities, they deplored.
