Hyderabad: Doraisamy Raja, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), has predicted a significant defeat for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming assembly elections in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Raja attributed the expected loss to the Modi government’s controversial decision to abrogate Article 370, which has fueled widespread discontent in the region.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during his speech at the CPI state conference in Hanamkonda, Telangana, Raja discussed the growing unrest in IIOJK since the repeal of Article 370, a provision that had accorded special status to the territory. He argued that the resulting dissatisfaction among the populace could lead to substantial electoral challenges for the BJP.
Raja also criticized the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for policies he views as undermining the interests of the public. He stated that the RSS’s influence over the BJP is harming the foundational principles of democracy and secularism in India.
