CPEC Projects Worth $25 Billion Underway in Pakistan

Islamabad, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal announced that projects totaling $25 billion are being implemented in Pakistan under the CPEC framework. This statement came during his visit to China, where he, along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi, is engaging with Chinese officials on strategic matters, particularly those related to CPEC, agriculture, and energy.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, upon arrival in Beijing, the Pakistani delegation, received by Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and senior Chinese authorities, moved swiftly into discussions. Minister Iqbal emphasized the robust and enduring friendship between China and Pakistan, noting the critical role of these projects in transitioning to the next phase of CPEC, which will focus on agriculture, industry, green energy, and technology.

The minister’s visit aims to prepare the agenda for the upcoming Joint Cooperation Committee meeting, which will further solidify the collaborative efforts between Pakistan and China.
