Karachi, October 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):As many as no more patients of Coronavirus died overnight lifting the death toll to 7,551 and 342 new cases emerged when 14,377 tests were conducted. This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Monday. He added that no more patient of COVID-19 lost their lives lifting the death toll pervious day 7,551 that constituted 1.6 percent death rate.
Mr. Shah said that 14,377 samples were tested which detected 342 cases that constituted 2.4 percent current detection rate. He added that so far 6,331,426 tests have been conducted against which 467,203 cases were diagnosed, of them 95.9 percent or 447,748 patients have recovered, including 133 overnight. The CM said that currently 11,904 patients were under treatment, of them 11,663 were in home isolation, 26 at isolation centres and 215 at different hospitals. He added that the condition of 214 patients was stated to be critical, including 15 shifted to ventilators.
According to the statement, out of 342 new cases, 60 have been detected from Karachi, including 29 from South, 17 Central, East 12, Malir two and no cases were reported from Korangi and West. Hyderabad has 34, Matiari 32, Qamber 25, Badin and Dadu 23 each, Jamshoro 20, Tando Allahyar 16, Tharparkar 15, Naushero Feroze 14, Mirpurkhas 13, Shaheed Benazirabad 12, Sukkur and Sanghar nine each, Thatta eight, Shikarpur seven, Larkana five, Ghotki and Jacobabad four each. The chief minister urged people of the province to follow SOPs.
