Karachi, September 30, 2021 (PPI-OT):As many as 25 more patients of Coronavirus died overnight lifting the death toll to 7,407 and 470 new cases emerged when 13,060 tests were conducted. This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Thursday. He added that 25 more patients of COVID-19 lost their lives lifting the death toll to 7,407 that constituted 1.6 percent death rate.
Mr. Shah said that 13,060 samples were tested which detected 470 cases that constituted 3.6 percent current detection rate. He added that so far 6,023,529 tests have been conducted against which 457,106 cases were diagnosed, of them 93.8 percent or 428,661 patients have recovered, including 586 overnight. The CM said that currently 21,038 patients were under treatment, of them 20,574 were in home isolation, 32 at isolation centers and 432 at different hospitals. He added that the condition of 398 patients was stated to be critical, including 33 shifted to ventilators.
According to the statement, out of 470 new cases, 163 have been detected from Karachi, including 35 from South, 34 East, 33 Malir, 26 West, 24 Central and 11 Korangi. Hyderabad has 86, Tando Allahyar 25, Badin 19, Kamber 18, Mirpurkhas 17, Sanghar 16, Dadu, Thatta and Tharparkar 15 each, Sujawal 14, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Umerkot and Shikarpur 10 each, Larkana 7, Tando Muhammad Khan 6, Jamshoro, Naushero Feroze and Kashmore 1 each. The chief minister urged people of the province to follow SOPs.
