Islamabad: Retired Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has been taken into military custody as Field General Court Martial proceedings begin against him. This development follows a comprehensive court of inquiry by the Pakistan Army, which was directed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan to investigate allegations against Hameed in the Top City Case.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the inquiry found multiple instances where Hameed violated the Pakistan Army Act post-retirement. Based on these findings, the Pakistan Army has taken appropriate disciplinary action under the provisions of the Pakistan Army Act against the retired officer.
