Lahore: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar announced that Pakistan is on the brink of unmatched economic development, attributing the progress to the government’s relentless efforts. Speaking at a workers’ convention in Lahore, Tarar highlighted the administration’s commitment to providing real and sustainable relief to citizens amidst challenging circumstances.
The minister emphasized that despite inheriting a fragile economy characterized by widespread inflation and political polarization, the government made difficult but necessary decisions for the nation’s benefit. Tarar noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has prioritized the country’s long-term interests over short-term political gains.
Tarar also confirmed that the Prime Minister has kept his promise of delivering affordable electricity to the population. He credited the government’s focused efforts on tangible relief, rather than mere slogans, as a factor contributing to these positive developments.
The information minister remarked that Pakistan’s economic performance is gaining international recognition. He highlighted key indicators such as reduced electricity costs, inflation in single digits, and a thriving stock market as signs of a prosperous future for the country.
Under the ‘Uraan Pakistan’ initiative, Tarar stated that Pakistan is set to achieve unprecedented economic growth, reflecting the government’s commitment to fostering a robust and resilient economy.
