Rawalpindi: The Corps Commanders’ Conference has pledged continued support for enhancing the socioeconomic development of Pakistan and addressing illegal activities that affect economic stability and investor confidence. The conference, presided over by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, focused on both internal and external security issues and reiterated the military’s commitment to uphold peace and regional security.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the 265th Corps Commanders’ Conference held in Rawalpindi paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Armed Forces, law enforcement personnel, and civilians in striving for national stability. The forum reviewed the current security situation and discussed the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, which aims to coordinate national counterterrorism efforts and disrupt the nexus of terrorism for sustained economic prosperity and stability.
The conference addressed concerns about unfair criticism and misrepresentation of its vision, emphasizing that such actions were motivated by individual vested interests. Discussions also covered the regional security dynamics, particularly regarding Afghanistan, reaffirming the commitment to contribute positively to regional peace.
The military leadership expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Palestine, condemning the severe human rights violations occurring in these regions. The forum highlighted the challenges posed by politically motivated digital attacks against state institutions, aimed at destabilizing the nation through misinformation and propaganda. However, it was noted that the Armed Forces and the citizens are vigilant and united against such threats.
Chief of Army Staff General Munir emphasized the importance of maintaining high professional standards and operational readiness to confront all challenges to national security. He assured that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to counter any threats and contribute effectively to the country’s stability and prosperity.
