Continued Repatriation of Illegal Afghan Nationals from Pakistan

Islamabad, Pakistan continues its efforts in the repatriation of illegal foreign nationals, including Afghan citizens, to their homeland. This ongoing process has recently seen a significant number of Afghan nationals voluntarily returning to Afghanistan.

According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, 2,957 illegal Afghan nationals were repatriated to their country yesterday, bringing the total number to 217,355 so far. To facilitate a dignified return, the government has established transit camps equipped with essential facilities in various districts. These camps provide temporary accommodation for Afghans awaiting repatriation. Currently, a large number of Afghan nationals are gathered at the Chaman and Torkham borders, ready for voluntary return to Afghanistan.
