Continued curfew, detention of leaders in IIOJK condemned

Srinagar, September 04, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) has strongly condemned the continued detention of Hurriyat leaders and imposition of curfew and restrictions in the territory by the authorities.

A JKPL spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed concern over the continued detention of ailing party Chairman Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, and other Hurriyat leader and activists including Engineer Fayaz, Rayis Ahmed Aashiq Hussain and Sartaj Ahmed who were arrested just after the passing away of veteran resistance leader, Syed Ali Gilani.

The spokesman termed the detentions as sheer political vendetta and demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails, police stations and detention centres.
