Consular Services in Islamabad to Close Temporarily Due to Security Preparations

Islamabad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that its consular office in Islamabad will be closed on Friday, 12 July 2024, due to security measures related to a foreign dignitary’s visit.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the main office in Islamabad will be closed, liaison offices in Gujrat, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, and Peshawar will continue to offer in-person consular services. Additionally, the Ministry has established courier service apostille collection points in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi to facilitate the submission and collection of documents, aiming to alleviate the inconvenience caused by the temporary closure.
