New Delhi, The convoy of Congress Minister in the disturbed Chhattisgarh state, Guru Rudra Kumar, was attacked with stones in Bemetara district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Guru Rudra Kumar is Congress candidate and Chhattisgarh Minister. Stones were thrown at his convoy on Wednesday night.
A video of Kumar’s vehicle, which was attacked, showed cracks in one of the window panes. His photo was also seen on one of the car doors.
“Guru Rudra Kumar was attending an event in Jhal village. His convoy was attacked when he was returning from the village,” Indian media quoted Bhavna Gupta, SP Bemetara, as saying.
Kumar is contesting election from the Nawagarh constituency in Chhattisgarh for the assembly polls. The first phase of the Chhattisgarh polls ended on November 7 and the second phase will take place on November 17.
