New Delhi, June 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Congress leaders from Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) are likely to meet at 11 am today (Thursday), before leaving for the meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Congress leaders including Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, and Tara Chand will meet at 5, South Avenue, President’s Estate in New Delhi. They are likely to discuss views that are to be presented at the table during the meeting with PM Narendra Modi.
PM Modi will chair a crucial all-party meeting around 3 pm on Thursday in New Delhi to discuss the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir and the future course of action for the Union Territory. This is the first all-party meeting on Jammu and Kashmir after August 5, 2019 when New Delhi abrogated Article 370 and bifurcated Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories.
All eyes are on this crucial meeting as leaders from several JandK-based parties have reached New Delhi. The Indian government has invited 14 leaders from Jammu and Kashmir, belonging to various political parties, for this meeting. Among the invitees are former chief ministers, deputy chief ministers and heads of mainstream political parties from Jammu and Kashmir.
