Congress Leaders Criticize BJP’s Impact on Peace, Governance, and Economy in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu, Congress leaders have raised concerns over significant declines in peace, governance, and the economy in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), attributing these issues to the policies and administration of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

According to Kashmir Media Service, Raman Bhalla, a prominent Congress leader, in a recent statement from Jammu, pointed to rising prices, record levels of unemployment, and the BJP regime’s inability to effectively address these challenges as key factors contributing to widespread dissatisfaction among the population. Bhalla criticized the BJP for engaging in divisive politics and stressed the importance of adopting more progressive and democratic policies to navigate the territory out of its current predicaments.

Additionally, Taranjit Singh Tony, the General Secretary of the IIOJK Congress, echoed Bhalla’s criticisms, condemning the BJP for not keeping its promises to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted the government’s neglect of critical issues facing the region and called for genuine representation and accountability in governance to ensure the welfare and prosperity of its citizens.

These statements from Congress leadership reflect growing discontent with the BJP’s handling of Jammu and Kashmir, spotlighting the need for urgent action to restore peace, improve governance, and revive the economy in the territory.
