Congress Criticizes BJP’s Governance in IIOJK, Cites Loss of Identity and Rights

Jammu: The Congress party in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has voiced strong criticism of the BJP-led government, claiming significant losses in identity, status, and local rights under the current administration.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Raman Bhalla, the Working President of the IIOJK Congress, expressed these concerns during a speech in Jammu’s Shankar Nagar area. He highlighted the failure of the BJP in fulfilling its promises, particularly in managing inflation and bolstering employment, which he said has led to widespread neglect and exploitation of the territory.

Bhalla also accused the BJP of fostering an environment filled with uncertainty and division, while actively suppressing dissent. He emphasized the need for unity among various community sectors, including civil society, students, youth, traders, and farmers, to oppose and defeat the current leadership, which he accused of betraying public trust.

Further, Bhalla demanded an explanation for the delay in elections and called for an urgent restoration of democracy in the region. He criticized the BJP’s prolonged bureaucratic control, which has prevented the establishment of an elected government, thereby exacerbating the governance issues in IIOJK.
