Congress Alleges BJP’s Discrimination Harms IIOJK Residents

Srinagar, The Congress party has openly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for what it describes as a decade of discrimination and injustice under its rule. The party highlighted Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ as a campaign for economic, social, and political justice.

According to Kashmir Media Service, at a press conference in Srinagar, Congress spokesperson Meem Afzal elaborated on the challenges faced by the populace. He pointed out that rising inflation has severely affected the savings of the poor and middle-class families, accusing the current government of favoring a few wealthy businessmen. This situation, he claimed, has led to widespread discrimination against the poorer sections of society.

Afzal specifically addressed the plight of the people in Kashmir, asserting that they are experiencing daily discrimination. He also accused the government of misleading the public regarding the situation with China.

Responding to a query about the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) summons to National Conference president Farooq Abdullah, Afzal suggested that these actions are part of a broader strategy to exert pressure on opposition leaders in the run-up to the general elections. He stated unequivocally that there was no doubt about the nature of these tactics.
