Congress Accuses BJP of Inciting Anti-Muslim Violence in Uttar Pradesh

New Delhi: Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera has accused the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government of inciting anti-Muslim violence in the state, resulting in the deaths of at least three Muslims during a survey of a Mughal era mosque in Sambhal.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Khera claimed that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the BJP-RSS were responsible for orchestrating unrest to polarize communities, thus undermining harmony in the state.

Khera criticized the government’s response to the violence, questioning the police’s inaction against provocative elements and accusing the administration of fueling communal discord. He stated that the government’s slogan ‘Ek Hai To Safe Hai’ has been exposed as ineffective amid what he described as BJP’s systematic targeting of minorities.

Asserting that the violence is part of a larger conspiracy, Khera called on the people of Sambhal to reject hatred and embrace unity. He reiterated Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s vision of fostering love over division and urged the community to seek legal recourse to protect their rights.

The Congress party also demanded accountability from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Adityanath, urging them to prioritize national harmony over political interests.
