Concern Grows Over Human Rights Violations in Jammu and Kashmir


Italy: The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum in Italy has raised alarms over human rights violations in the Indian-administered region of Jammu and Kashmir.



According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the Forum’s meeting was chaired by Atiq Zubair Jaral, President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum, Italy. The meeting addressed the ongoing situation in the region, with participants expressing their concerns.



Laura Raffaelli, a human rights advocate in Italy, highlighted reports of serious violations, including sexual abuse of women in the area. She emphasized the Forum’s commitment to human rights and the importance of raising awareness on these issues.



Atiq Zubair Jaral, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Human Rights Peace Forum, expressed solidarity with the affected people. He criticized restrictions on freedom of expression in the region and urged international awareness and action against these violations.



The meeting’s attendees included notable figures such as Italian Human Rights Chief Laura Raffaelli, Sardar Man Singh, and Mohsin Warraich, among others. The gathering underscored the Forum’s dedication to advocating for the rights of the people in Jammu and Kashmir.
