Completion of Islamabad Expressway Signal-Free Project Set for August 14

Islamabad: The Islamabad Expressway signal-free project is slated for completion and inauguration by August 14, as per a recent update from the Capital Development Authority (CDA). This development is part of an effort to enhance the infrastructure of the federal capital under the guidance of Federal Minister for Interior, Syed Mohsin Naqvi.

According to Capital Development Authority, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa has been actively involved in the supervision of this key project. In his recent inspection of the construction sites, including Sawan Bridge, Japan Underpass, Railway Bridge, and Bhinder Bridge, Randhawa noted the accelerated pace of the ongoing work. This project, which had faced delays in the past, has seen significant progress due to the implementation of round-the-clock construction efforts.

The initiative to make the Islamabad Expressway signal-free involves complex engineering challenges, particularly in the construction of bridges and structures. The officials highlighted that these components have advanced substantially in the last two months. Chairman Randhawa commended the CDA staff, contractors, and consultants for their dedication to pushing the project forward rapidly, despite the logistical challenges of maintaining traffic flow during the construction.

Randhawa also emphasized the commitment to maintaining high standards in the quality of construction work, ensuring that the project will meet all expected benchmarks upon completion.
