Islamabad, The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) have announced a collaborative effort to boost understanding of the Competition Law, specifically targeting ACCA’s substantial membership in Pakistan. In addition to organizing Continued Professional Development (CPD) events centered on the Competition Law, the CCP will extend internship opportunities in its various departments to fresh ACCA affiliates and members, granting them direct experience with Competition Law and its affiliated regulatory mechanisms.
According to a news release by Press Information Department (PID), the Competition Commission of Pakistan, the partnership was deliberated in a meeting attended by key figures from both organizations, including Mr. Salman Amin, Mr. Shahzad Hussain, and Mr. Salman Zafar from the CCP, and Mr. Assad Hameed Khan and Mr. Asad Malik from ACCA. This collaborative initiative falls in line with CCP’s obligations under Section 29 of the Competition Act, emphasizing the promotion of competition via advocacy and training on competition-centric issues.
