Dukki: The community of Dukki is in mourning following the funeral of Sanaullah alias Sanak Nasir, a young truck driver who was fatally shot by unknown assailants on the Punjab Loral highway at Rada Shim. Nasir, who was set to be married in just 20 days, was remembered in a ceremony attended by local dignitaries and residents.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the funeral prayers for Nasir were held at the graveyard of his native Kali Karim Khan, with District Council Chairman Haji Khairullah Nasir and many community members in attendance. The loss is particularly poignant as Nasir, who came from a very poor family, was preparing to start a new chapter in his life.
This violent incident, which claimed Nasir among 22 others, has cast a shadow over the community, which now grieves a life cut tragically short just as it was about to begin anew.
