Gwadar, Commissioner Makran Division, Dawood Khan Khalji, emphasized the importance of completing Gwadar’s ongoing development projects promptly during a recent inspection. Khalji underscored that delays in the implementation of the Town Rehabilitation Plan would not be tolerated, reflecting his commitment to achieving swift progress on key infrastructure improvements in the region.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Khalji, along with Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) officials including Acting Director General Haji Syed Muhammad, Superintending Engineer Nadir Baloch, and Assistant Commissioner Gwadar Jawad Zehri, reviewed several significant projects. These included upgrades at Mullah Fazil Chowk, the extension of Airport Road from Makki Masjid to Mullah Fazil Chowk, and the construction of the Gulag to Demi Zar Link Road and Demi Zar Road itself.

During the inspection, the GDA Chief Engineer and Acting DG briefed the Commissioner on the current status of these projects, reporting on the progress and outlining any challenges faced. In response, Commissioner Khalji directed that efforts be intensified to overcome any hurdles and accelerate the pace of development. He stressed the need for maintaining the quality and sustainability of the projects while ensuring public participation and trust in these initiatives.

Khalji also highlighted that these development projects had faced significant delays in the past and that completing them efficiently is crucial for providing immediate benefits to the community and maintaining public confidence in governmental and developmental institutions.
