Islamabad, Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan has articulated the government’s commitment to enhancing economic conditions to bolster the confidence of the business sector.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the minister expressed this dedication following a meeting with the Pakistan Business Council in Karachi. Jam Kamal Khan emphasized the government’s resolve to address the challenges faced by the business community, acknowledging the ongoing dialogue to foster a favorable business climate.
The minister also clarified that the current ban on onion exports is a temporary measure, exclusive to the Ramadan period, set to expire on April 15, with no plans for extension. Regarding the auto industry, he conveyed that the government is open to recommendations concerning car manufacturing and anticipates reaching a beneficial decision before the forthcoming budget announcement.
Additionally, he underscored ongoing initiatives aimed at expanding trade and commerce with Central Asian nations, signifying a proactive approach to international economic relations.
