Islamabad: Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan chaired a strategic meeting focused on expanding Pakistan’s export markets, particularly targeting Afghanistan and Central Asian countries. The session aimed to evaluate and bolster Pakistan’s trade relations by tapping into underexploited sectors such as mining, minerals, agro-products, gems, and fisheries.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the meeting, Khan highlighted the necessity of leveraging Pakistan’s natural resources to boost export volumes. The discussion also covered the current status of trade agreements and the country’s export profile, with insights into ongoing trade activities and volumes with various international partners.
The Minister urged the establishment of new trade missions in regions deemed to have significant trade potential and emphasized that overcoming political and connectivity challenges could substantially increase export opportunities to Afghanistan and Central Asian nations.
