Islamabad, The National Weather Forecasting Centre in Islamabad has reported that continental air is currently dominating most parts of Pakistan, leading to predominantly cold and dry weather conditions across the country.
According to National Weather Forecasting Centre – Islamabad, the weather on Tuesday is expected to remain mainly cold and dry in most areas, with very cold conditions in the northern regions and partly cloudy skies in western Balochistan. Dense fog and smog are also likely to occur in upper Sindh and the plain areas of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The forecast for Wednesday indicates similar weather patterns, with cold and dry conditions expected in the upper parts of the country. The northern districts will experience very cold temperatures, while the western districts might see partly cloudy skies. Fog and smog are anticipated in upper Sindh, plain areas of Punjab, and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during the morning and night hours.
The past 24 hours have seen cold and dry weather prevailing over most parts of Pakistan, with very cold and partly cloudy conditions in the northern regions. The lowest minimum temperatures recorded today were -12°C in Leh, -08°C in Skardu, -06°C in Astore and Kalam, -05°C in Gilgit and Kalat, and -04°C in Gupis and Srinagar.
The current weather conditions highlight the onset of the winter season in Pakistan, with significant drops in temperature and foggy conditions affecting visibility in various regions.
