Cold and Dry Weather Expected Across Most of Pakistan, Light Rain in Gilgit-Baltistan and Upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa

Islamabad, most parts of Pakistan are expected to experience cold and dry weather conditions. The forecast indicates a continuation of mainly cold and dry weather across the country, with partly cloudy skies in the upper regions. Additionally, light rain, turning into light snow over the mountains, is anticipated at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The report also highlights that fog and smog are likely to persist during the night in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh.

According to National Weather Forecasting Centre – Islamabad, The forecast for Monday predicts similar conditions, with predominantly cold and dry weather expected throughout most of the country, and extremely cold temperatures in the northern regions. Fog and smog will likely continue to affect the same plain areas. The past 24-hour weather review indicates that cold and dry conditions prevailed over most parts of the country, with very cold and partly cloudy weather in the northern areas. The recorded lowest minimum temperatures were in Skardu and Leh at -08°C, Hunza at -05°C, and Kalam, Gupis, and Gilgit registering -04°C and -03°C respectively.
