Islamabad, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, visited an operational air base to observe the on-going aerial exercise Indus Shield-2023 of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). The Air Chiefs of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Hungary, along with other foreign dignitaries, also attended this 14-nation mega exercise.
According to Inter Service Public Relation reports that COAS Munir was received by Air Chief Marshal, Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, who highlighted the significance of the exercise in consolidating modern concepts of aerial warfare and enhancing interoperability among participant nations. The Air Chief also acknowledged the essential role played by PAF’s Airpower Center of Excellence in organizing this major exercise, while COAS Munir emphasized the importance of multinational air exercises in the evolving dynamics of air warfare.
