COAS Munir Affirms Solidarity with Kashmiris and Defends National Sovereignty


Islamabad: At the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul, Army Chief General Asim Munir delivered a stirring Independence Day address, emphasizing Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination and issuing a staunch warning against threats to national security.



According to Kashmir Media Service, General Munir highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to support them politically and diplomatically. He also condemned the violence in Gaza, describing it as a mark of shame on global consciousness, which Pakistan will continue to challenge internationally.



The COAS further addressed issues of misinformation and the limits of free speech within the context of national security, citing Islamic teachings on the verification of information. He robustly declared Pakistan’s readiness to respond to any form of aggression, ensuring that the country’s security forces are prepared to defend its sovereignty at all costs.
