Kakul: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed the military’s commitment to defending Pakistan against all internal and external threats, delivering a forceful message during the Azadi Parade at the Pakistan Military Academy.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Munir, in his address, emphasized the readiness of the armed forces to respond decisively to any acts of aggression. He highlighted the enduring strength of the nation, fostered by the trust and unity between the citizens and the military, and cautioned against the dangers of disunity that could invite external threats.

The Army Chief underscored the significance of Pakistan’s existence, stating it is meant not just to exist but to thrive and achieve prominence globally. He recalled the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, urging collective efforts in nation-building and paying homage to the country’s leaders, martyrs, and veterans.

General Munir lauded Pakistan’s strategic advantages, including its natural resources and vibrant youth, crediting these assets for the country’s promising future. He acknowledged the successful counter-terrorism efforts and the sacrifices of law enforcement agencies, particularly highlighting the ongoing challenges and the valor of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa against the resurgence of terrorism.

In addressing regional stability, he recognized the importance of sustained support for Balochistan and acknowledged the crucial backing of international allies such as China, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Turkey, during challenging times.

In his closing remarks, General Munir reiterated support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their struggle for self-determination and condemned the atrocities in Gaza, while appreciating government efforts toward peaceful resolutions. He concluded by commending the dedication of the cadets at the Pakistan Military Academy, asserting a secure and bright future for Pakistan.
