COAS Asserts Armed Forces’ Readiness Against Threats

Islamabad, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir affirmed the armed forces’ readiness to defend Pakistan against both internal and external threats during his speech at the Passing out Parade of Cadets at Pakistan Air Force Asghar Khan Academy in Risalpur.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Munir emphasized the critical role of a strong air force in national defense, praising the Pakistan Air Force for consistently meeting the nation’s expectations. He recounted the PAF’s achievements, including their performance during the February 2019 engagements, showcasing their professionalism and bravery.

The Army Chief also expressed his confidence in the new cadets, urging them to uphold virtues of character, courage, and competence. He reassured that the armed forces are aware of their constitutional boundaries and stressed the importance of maintaining the balance of power in the region amidst an ongoing arms race.

General Munir also addressed global conflicts, including the situation in Palestine and Indian actions in Jammu and Kashmir, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri struggle for freedom despite international silence on the issue.
