KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah led processions and offered messages of unity and resilience as the province marked the coinciding occasions of Eid Milad-un-Nabi and Pakistan Defence Day.
At Memon Masjid, Shah, joined by cabinet members and other leaders, conveyed greetings to the Muslim Ummah, emphasizing the Prophet Muhammad’s teachings of peace and harmony. He urged citizens to follow these teachings for success in both worldly and eternal realms.
In Malir, CM Shah participated in a procession organized by Darul Uloom Mujaddedia, reiterating the Prophet’s life as a guiding light. He called for service to humanity, reflecting the Prophet’s exemplary character.
The Chief Minister extended his greetings to Muslims globally, praying for Pakistan’s stability and peace. The Chief Minister’s House was illuminated in green and white, celebrating the Prophet’s birth.
In response to ongoing flood hardships, Shah emphasized collective responsibility and the Sindh government’s commitment to assisting affected families.
Separately, on Pakistan Defence Day, Shah paid tribute to the armed forces, praising their sacrifices and courage during the 1965 war. He affirmed Sindh’s commitment to national defense and highlighted the need for unity to ensure Pakistan’s progress.
