Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Brazil to take part in the Global COP 30 Conference, where she will share her vision on climate resilience and environmental initiatives for the Punjab region. The conference, which runs until November 21, will provide her with the platform to deliver a keynote address focusing on clean energy, electric vehicles, and the protection and promotion of forests and wildlife.
During her visit, Chief Minister Sharif is expected to engage with world leaders, representatives from international environmental organizations, and experts in the field. Accompanying her on the trip are Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat, and Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafique.
The COP 30 Conference serves as a significant global platform for discussing climate policies and sustainable practices. Punjab’s participation underlines the region’s commitment to addressing environmental challenges and implementing effective climate strategies.
