Lahore, May 23, 2022 (PPI-OT): Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz chaired a joint Parliamentary party meeting of PMLN and their allied parties. The resolution with regard to expressing complete confidence in the leadership of CM Hamza Shahbaz was unanimously approved in the meeting. The resolution being submitted in the meeting strongly condemned the undemocratic steps with regard to hindering the progress of the province and creating obstacles for the government to perform its constitutional duties. The resolution also severely condemned the undemocratic steps to hamper the appointment of the Governor.
The resolution also vehemently condemned the step for not acting upon the stipulated 07 days period enshrined in the constitution to move no confidence motion against the Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervaiz Elahi. The Parliamentary party meeting also condemned the unconstitutional steps adopted by the Speaker Pervaiz Elahi by resorting to misuse of authority in order to impede no confidence motion against him. The resolution submitted during the meeting also unanimously expressed no confidence on the Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervaiz Elahi.
It was declared in the resolution of the Parliamentary party meeting that it is unlawful and unconstitutional for the Speaker Punjab Assembly to continue to hold his office. The resolution was submitted by the Member Punjab Assembly Rana Mashood Ahmad and all the members endorsed the resolution by raising their hands. Assembly members of PMLN, PPP and independent members participated in the meeting.
During the meeting strategy was also chalked out with regard to the Punjab Assembly session and the indecent remarks uttered by Imran Khan about Maryam Nawaz were also strongly condemned. The participants in the Parliamentary party meeting rebuked that Imran Khan has promoted an unethical and an uncivilised culture in politics. The people-friendly step of CM Hamza Shahbaz to provide subsidised flour to the people of the province was highly appreciated and lauded in the meeting. PMLN leader Atta Tarar and MPA Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan also addressed the meeting.
