CJCSC and Jordan’s King Abdullah Discuss Security, Military Cooperation in Amman

Karachi, In a key meeting during his official visit to Jordan, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) of Pakistan, met with King Abdullah-II Ibn Al Hussain. The high-level dialogue focused on strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the realms of politico-diplomatic and military cooperation, and assessing the regional security situation.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting between General Mirza and King Abdullah was significant in discussing various areas of mutual interest. Emphasis was laid on enhancing bilateral cooperation and understanding the dynamics of the prevailing regional security environment.

In a notable event during the visit, King Abdullah Ibn Al Hussain conferred the ‘Order of the Star of Jordan’ medal on General Mirza. This prestigious award recognized the CJCSC’s meritorious services, symbolizing the deep military and diplomatic ties between Jordan and Pakistan.

General Mirza’s visit also included separate meetings with Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hnaity, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, and Brigadier General Muhammad Hyasat, Commander of the Royal Jordan Air Force. These interactions further underscored the ongoing commitment to fostering strong military ties between the two nations and collaboratively addressing regional security challenges.
